Align & Refine Your Sun Salutations


Some of us practice for years before breaking down "the vinyasa" pose by pose, analyzing the transitions between them. We'll go over proper alignment of plank, chaturanga, upward-facing dog, and downward-facing dog, emphasizing wrist and shoulder safety. Chaturanga will receive particularly detailed attention as we practice it with props. We'll go over the ways to know when chaturanga and up-dog are not serving you and how to modify accordingly. Learn to work smarter instead of harder. This is not just a workshop for those transitioning from basics to open level classes. It is of value to those who have been practicing in the open level for years, as we'll review movement of feet in the transitions and how to integrate the core muscles. We'll practice jumping forward and back with lightness and ease. By deconstructing sun salutes in a workshop setting, you'll be freed up to truly find the moving meditation in your vinyasa practice.
