Practicing with a teacher privately allows you to tailor your session to your specific needs, such as dealing with an injury or health concern. I have studied yoga for backcare and have extensive experience in using these therapeutic practices one-on-one.
If you are new to yoga, private lessons can also help you build a strong foundation before diving into group classes.
Having a teacher customize your lessons gives you the space and time to gain greater understanding of challenging poses which have always seemed to elude you. (This can do wonders for your inversion and arm-balance practice.)
Rates have been decreased for web-based instruction:
First session (includes consultation + lesson): 90 minutes $90
Follow-up sessions: 60 minutes $60; 75 minutes $75
Series of 6 lessons: 60 minutes $320 ; 75 minutes $400
Joint/group lesson: you + 1-4 friends:
60 minutes $90; 75 minutes $125; 90 minutes $150
Having your own mat and the following yoga props is ideal, but email me for suggestions of household items to use as stand-ins for the time being.
2 yoga blocks, at least one yoga blanket (or suitable substitute), a yoga strap, and a couple of therabands. A bolster and eye pillow can be really nice too, but not essential unless we are going to do primarily yin or restorative yoga.
